Family Channel presents… Big Ticket Summer with special guests Bridgit Mendler, Allstar Weekend, Tyler Medeiros, Veronica, and R5 in Toronto, Canada on August 26, 2012 at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre.
As the summer comes to a close, Family Channel hosted a concert gearing towards teens and children of all ages in Toronto, Canada on Sunday, August 26. Bringing in artists from across the continent, including some from right here in Toronto, the show ran from mid afternoon until about 9:00 at night. Starting off was the young band R5. R5, who are 5 members (which 4 of them are siblings), are an energetic group who loved playing in front of such an energetic crowd. The band had smiles from ear to ear nearly their entire set, and continued to dance around on stage throughout.
Following R5, was Toronto 16 year old, Veronica. Veronica, who is currently on her way to stardom, has her current single ‘Incompatible’ on the airwaves across the nation. This bubbly hometown girl brought out a large crowd, and it will be exciting to watch Veronica and her fan base continue to grow!
Up next was another hometown hero, Tyler Medeiros. To check out pictures and what we have to say about Tyler; view his review at: http://musictourreviews.com/2012/08/28/tyler-medeiros.
Probably the most anticipated band of the evening was up next. Allstar Weekend had taken the Molson Amphitheatre by storm. Making the crowd roar with screams and applause during the entire set, Allstar Weekend played such hits as ‘Dance Forever’ and ‘Come Down With Love’.
Headlining the night was actress and singer, Bridgit Mendler. Bridgit, who is releasing her debut album in the following months, played the entire album for the crowd and got a positive response. Bridgit’s most notable song, ‘Ready Or Not’ was played second last to end the night, previous to ‘Somebody’. Be sure to catch Bridgit’s album ‘Hello My Name Is…’ hitting shelves on October 22.
