On Saturday, April 12, 2014, SEVENDUST brought their acoustic show to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.  Fans packed the Hard Rock’s intimate venue, Vinyl, from the stage to the doors.  Even though this performance was billed as acoustic, it wasn’t a quiet, sedate, completely unplugged event.  It was more of a stripped down, raw, version of their music that translated beautifully into this format.   Morgan Rose wasn’t sitting on stage with a couple of conga drums, he brought the full drum kit and didn’t hold back at all.  Clint, John, Vince and Lajon may have been seated on stools and performing stripped down versions of 17 songs that included hits of the past with cuts off the new album, but this performance was delivered with the same heartfelt, intensity that SEVENDUST is known for.

Nothing has been confirmed at this time but there was a lot of talk at this show that SEVENDUST may return to Las Vegas down the road for a month long residency at Vinyl in the Hard Rock Hotel Casino.  These guys have been touring for years, with shows currently on schedule nonstop through August 2, 2014.  Personally, I think a residency at the Hard Rock would be highly successful and a well deserved break from the rigors of touring for the guys in the band.  I’m sure it would be a great thing to be able to bring their families to Las Vegas for a month, perform in the evenings and be with their families every day.  Whether or not it happens remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure. . . SEVENDUST delivers 100% to their fans every time they take the stage.
