BlackBox13 returned to the Whisky A Go Go, April 18, 2014, right at a year since their last Hollywood appearance. This time they were armed, not only with a couple favorites from their debut EP “Army of None”, but with some new music the fans in California hadn’t heard before.  Their latest songs, No Change and Sever, are so good I can’t choose which is my favorite new song.

As usual, vocalist Joshua Alan was on fire.  The fans connected with him instantly and just got more into it with each song.  Joe Wiehl, with his distinctive guitar style, together with the solid rhythm section of Cory Kay and Todd Turgeon, whipped the crowd into a frenzy and delivered the BlackBox13 sound . . .hard rock with a twist of metal.  They closed with fan favorite, Senseless, leaving the crowd going wild with their hands in the hair, jumping from the back wall to the stage, clearly wanting more!  After the show, fans gathered on the sidewalk outside the stage door for photos and autographs, many who just experienced BlackBox13 for the first time.

I have photos of the night  posted below with a recent video of their new song, No Change, along with their Soundcloud player for their debut EP “Army of None”.  Connect with the band on Facebook at, on instagram and twitter @BlackBox13band.
