Nonpoint at The Rave in Milwaukee - Opening for Disturbed and special guest, Art of Dying

So for those of you new to Nonpoint or if you never heard of them, what world are you living in?

Nonpoint is one of those bands that other bands hate to follow after their set because they go hard and nonstop; with more energy than most could ever give. Tonight was no exception to this.

With opening band, Art of Dying, making their mark as a new band and Disturbed as the headliner, the Rave was packed on this warm night in Milwaukee. With about 4,000 people jammed into The Rave, the crowd was ready for Nonpoint, a Midwest favorite. Even being from Florida, they have always connected to the Midwest with their nose to the grindstone touring and willingness to meet with their fans to form long lasting bonds.

Frontman, Elias Soriano has a way to grab the crowd by their neck and does not stop until they get off the stage. To go along with Soriano is fellow Puerto Riccan, Robb Rivera, on the drums. Well known for his intense drumming skills and his sideways drum kit for the entire crowd to see him banging away. At one point, Soriano & Rivera had a contest to see which side of the crowd would cheer the loudest; I think it ended in a draw.

Chicago native son, guitarist Zach Broderick, has been with the group since 2008 and just keeps growing with Nonpoint, bringing some sick skills to the fret board. To round out the group is KB “Bastard” on Bass. This guy is a beast on the bass and a treat to watch playing like he is out of his mind.

Playing a solid 45 minute set that included hits, “In the Air Tonight,” “Alive and Kicking,” “Crazy,” and the last song of the night, “Bullet with a Name on It.”

This ends their tour run until August.
