On Tuesday Melbourne had held host to Avenged Sevenfold; a heavy night of music so It was time for something a bit different. Thursday night at the Prince Ballroom brought on Neon Trees with special guest The Doors playing before them. The Doors started the night out from about 8:00 PM, so the place filled pretty quick with the fans being of ages both males and females. Once they had finished their set, an intermission began giving fans a chance to grab a break and get ready for the headliner, Neon Trees.

Everyone started forming around the stage with Neon Trees coming out and leading the crowd into a sing-along straight away. With the the Prince Ballroom full, the crowd was bouncing away at the full energetic set.

Normally this isn’t the music that I listen to but I really enjoyed it! My foot ended up tapping along with every song that was played. They also played a cover of the old hit song “Maneater” in which I believe that they did a great job of it. I could have thought that the drums were from a rock band, but here is a relatively main stream band, with a drummer just pounding away; I loved it! This 5 person band did a great job getting the whole crowd hyped with the lead singer jumping all around the stage, sometimes nearly in the crowd, as well as playing the keyboard when needed.. They finished up the night 11:30 and overall I believe it was a great night! The gig being a show that anyone could have listened to, regardless if they’re a fan or not, at a venue that fit Neon Trees perfectly.
