Nekromantix at House of Blues, Las Vegas 8/11/11
Psychobilly legends, Nekromantix, rocked the House of Blues Las Vegas with their What Happens in Hell, Stays in Hell tour in support of their new album of the same name. By the time they took the stage, the crowd was warmed up and ready for them thanks to opening acts, The Howlers out of San Gabriel Valley, California and Las Vegas’ own Dead Birds and Blind Kids who both had great sets. Las Vegas has a large Punk/Psychobilly/Rockabilly fanbase and they came out to party with Nekromantix this night in full force.
Nekromantix, originally formed in Denmark, in 1989, with vocalist Kim Nekroman and his coffin shaped stand up bass as the one constant in the lineup. Nekroman, along with guitarist, Franc, and pinup perfect drummer, Lux, are as visually intriguing as they are musically talented. Songs like Bats in my Pants, MonsterBait, Demons are a Girl’s Best Friend, and What Happens in Hell Stays in Hell, had the audience going wild in true psychobilly style.
Their tour runs through September and upcoming dates can be found on their facebook page: www.facebook.com/Nekromantix
