Middle Class Rut Kyle Hansen September 18, 2011 USA Triple Rock and 93x presents… Middle Class Rut at The Triple Rock Club in Minneapolis. I saw Middle Class Rut, also know as MC Rut, open for Filter about a year ago. For only 2 guys, the sounds that came out of the speakers was amazing. In the last year, they have gotten an enormous amount of exposure in result of the successful release of the CD and vinyl, No Name No Color. This album has to be one of the most original and strongest sounding CDs that I’ve heard. The vocals are amazing, the drums are insane and the sounds that surround that you will not believe it is 2 guys. While releasing some EP’s and single’s in 2007 and 2008. Their first full length CD and LP, No Name For Color came out in October of 2010. With the air play it is getting here in Minnesota hopefully more alternative and hard rock stations pick up New Low and Busy Bein’ Born. By the time MC Rut was set to take the stage, the place was packed. The stage was in towards the back and Triple Rock maybe held around 200 people. There was 2 guys on stage, a few lights, and the bands banner hung up in the back, that was all. Nonetheless It rocked like a packed stadium full of a million dollar production. I can not say enough good stuff about these guys. Go see them before they get huge and you can only see them in arenas. You can view their remaining dates and anything else about them at their web page; www.mcrut.com.
