The Cheyenne Saloon presents… The Dreaming, Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 10, 2011 This past Saturday night I was excited to see The Dreaming perform in Las Vegas in advance of their upcoming album release and a nationwide tour. The Las Vegas show capped a three night mini-tour that started at The Whisky in Hollywood, then on to The Slidebar in Fullerton, California and finally The Cheyenne Saloon in Las Vegas. Their sound is a unique mix of alternative rock, electronic and metal that I have been a fan since they first came on my radar about 3 years ago during a NAMM afterparty. Since then I have seen them multiple times and have a true appreciation of their music. The Dreaming features vocalist, Christopher Hall, the voice of platinum selling Stabbing Westward who has not only a powerful voice but an authentic delivery that lets you know he’s lived these songs. Drummer Johnny Haro, formerly of Econoline Crush and Stabbing Westward; Guitarist Eric Griffin, (from The Murderdolls and The Genitorturers); Martin Kelly on Bass; and Ryan Seelbach on guitar round out the lineup for The Dreaming. The Dreaming has a strong fan base in Las Vegas and had a great turn out for this show. We were all ready to check out the latest additions to the band, Martin Kelly and Ryan Seelbach, who did not disappoint. They gave us all the favorites, from previous releases, including Bullet, Dead to Me, and their versions of Depeche Mode’s It’s No Good and Real Life’s Send Me an Angel. A highlight of the night for me was Every Trace, their first single, and Puppet, the title track for their upcoming album set for release on 11/01/11. The Dreaming will be touring in support of the new album and the details for the tour will be announced any day now so connect with the band on facebook and their website to get the latest information: www.facebook.com/thedreamingmusic, www.TheDreamingBand.com, and you can preview their new single Every Trace on their myspace page: www.myspace.com/thedreaming Share this:Share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on Google+ (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window)Click to share on StumbleUpon (Opens in new window)Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to email this to a friend (Opens in new window)Like this:Like Loading...
