The Myth Nightclub and 93x presents… Filter Chevelle and Bush

Holy time machine Batman.
Time to take it back a few years into the land of the nineties.

Filter
First on the bill for the night was Filter. Filter started in 1993 when Richard Patrick left Nine Inch Nails to start his own Band. Over the years they have had a number of hits to keep them around. There fan base is loyal and dedicated. With a number of them up front and getting rowdy we knew it was a start to a good evening. Richard took notice and helped himself to the barricade during their set. He grabbed a number of cell phones and cameras to sing to. Look around and I am sure you will find the video online. Set list was somewhat short due too the 3 bands on the bill. All night the band was really tight. The addition of Phil on Bass and Johnny on guitar work really good together. Towards the end of the set Richard told the crowd “I’m coming out with you guys.” He then jumped into the crowd and had them crowd surf him around the whole floor. Ending the set with Hey Man, Nice Shot got everyone in the mood for the rest of the evening.

Oh yeah, check for their bus in the parking lot. You may catch them playing guitar in the window.

Chevelle

The crowd was more then pumped to get Chevelle on stage. From Chicago they have a good midwest following.
Having seen Chevelle a few times this year, this one had to be the best of the shows. The Myth’s stage is huge which made it easy for the band to bring in a huge stage show. Still touring in support of their latest release Sci-Fi Crimes which came out in 2009. Being on the road this long has made them a machine. Added to the set list this time around was Vitamin R, and Still Running. Glad to see they can still rock the house after that long on the road.

Chevelle is
Pete Loeffler Lead Vocals / Guitars
Sam Loeffler Drums
Dean Bernardini Bass

On tour with Bush for the next couple of months

Bush
All the ladies got ready; as here came Gavin, who seemed to be very happy to have his band back.
Once again these guys know how to rock. Changing the set list up, they opened with The Mirror of the Signs. They have been opening with Machine Head but left that until right before the encore. Good to see them add songs to their set, Greedy Fly, The Mirror Signs, The Heart of the Matter, I Believe in You, and The People That We Love. Gavin has decided that there is no barrier between the audience and the band. Several times jumping into the crowd and hanging with the fans. While we were upstairs a small excitement started so we thought to check it out. Well Gavin decided to come join us upstairs. He was dragging a girl around with him through the whole club. It was very cool thing to do to include everyone in the show. The band did a great cover of Come Together to open the encore which was more than an excellent choice. This band continues to impress. Check out the new CD The Sea of Memories.
