Go Live Entertainment presents… Neverest with co-headliner Alyssa Reid and openers Take Me To The Pilot at the Garrick Centre in Winnipeg, MB on October 15, 2011.

Fans were lining up early in the afternoon for this much anticipated event however unfortunately the Garrick Centre was not nearly filled up as the show went on. On the contrary, as the night continued, it sounded as if it sold-out.

Starting off was Winnipeg-based band, Take Me To The Pilot. Playing a few shows on this tour out east, they ended of their contribution to the tour in their hometown on this night. Mike Bilenski, who leads the band on vocals and guitar, gave it all he had when belting out hits such as Tonight, and Green Eyes. This Winnipeg band gives off a punk-rock/pop-rock vibe to their music, sound similar to other Canadain acts such as Marianas Trench, or even Simple Plan.

A advise you to check these guys out, you can view their Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/takemetothepilot.

Next up was another Canadian artist who fills the radio waves with her hits ‘The Game’, and ‘Alone Again’. Now Alyssa has been blowing up within the past year, and is going to be continuing to be doing so. She hasn’t let it hit that people nationally are starting to know her name, and hopefully that won’t be happening for a while. Continuously joking on stage, as well as communicating with the crowd, she took her performance to the next level. Halfway through her set, she invited openers Take Me To The Pilot back up on stage, and explained about how they introduced Neverest as ‘The Stereos’ the previous night. As a punishment each member was forced to dance for the crowd, leaving the crowd in hysterics. If you don’t know Alyssa Reids name yet, I am going to bet you know her songs, so you best learn it. It won’t be long before she’s breaking Billboard’s charts.

You can find out more information about Alyssa Reid on her website at http://www.alyssareid.com/.

Ending off the night was the band everyone came to see, Neverest. Now forming approximately a year ago, these guys have filled the radio with some major summer hits as well. Based out of Toronto, Neverest were able to find the connections they needed, as well was working hard on their music, which in result, they’re headlining a nation-wide tour.

Neverest made sure to play their hits such as About Us, as well as Everything where they picked ‘Lily’ out of the crowd to come up on stage, where lead singer Spee serenaded her the bridge and chorus of the song. The band’s set consisted of other tunes such as The Chase, Hate It, and Hello/Goodbye.

Overall, all three of these Canadian acts held their own, and it’s safe to say that you’d be best to watch out for all three in the future!
