Wayne Static is continuing his “Pighammer” Tour into 2012 and if you were ever a fan of Static X or just love a show that rocks, find a date near you and get tickets. I recently caught Wayne Static in Las Vegas and don’t let the name of the venue deceive you, Wayne Static has not gone country. His solo album, Pighammer, is very much the evil disco you expect from Wayne Static. The venue was packed with fans of Wayne and his prior band, Static-X, ready to see what he’s bringing to the stage for this tour and they were not disappointed. With a mix of new material off Pighammer and his classic Static-X songs, he whipped the fans into a frenzy from the start.
While the music on the album is all Wayne, he can’t play it all by himself on the road. He has assembled a very talented touring band consisting of Brent Ashley (The Dreaming, Skold) on bass, Sean “Animal” on Drums and Ashes on guitar. The show is enhanced by the presence of dancer Tera Wray Static who rocks the stage wearing electrical tape and not much more. Beautiful girls and Rock & Roll, it never gets old.
