BandMerch.com and The House Of Blues presents… August Burns Red on January 20th, 2012.
A mixture of punks, scene kids, and adults gathered at the House Of Blues in Orlando, Florida on a chilly January night to see a solid lineup of bands. Opening band, LetLive, puts on one hell of a show. They put so much energy and dedication into their show and live performance even for their small fan base at the show.
After Letlive, Texas in July and Silverstein played, and both having extremely solid sets and a huge crowd response. Non-stop bouncing, mosh pits, and crowd surfing gave the security a reason to be their for the show that night. Everybody was going crazy for the bands.
A family consisting of a Mother, Father, and three kids, being two boys, 12 and 14, and a girl 16 were all making their way into the pit just before August Burns Red was set to come on, and they all wore matching August Burns Red shirts. What does your family do for family fun night? The lights dimmed, and you would have thought you were in the UCF arena. Extra security was brought into the pit, crowd, and balconies, which were well needed when the band came out. The band went straight into Empire, and everything went chaotic. Dozens of crowd surfers, two huge pits opened up, and the crowd sang along so loud you could barley hear Jake Luhrs (Vocals) at times. For anyone that hasn’t seen August Burns Red live, they put on a very distinct show. Their production for this tour was very entertaining, but as a band themselves, they put a lot of effort into each song, each note, its reassuring to see that some bands just don’t go on stage and play and get off, they actually care about the fans, and want to give the fans everything they have.
They played song such as Cutting The Ties, The Truth Of A Liar, White Washed, Salt & Light, Back Burner, and even a drum solo after Leveler. They played about 15 songs, filled with countless breakdowns, huge pits, and energy in every direction.
