LiveNation presents… Theory of A Deadman with guests Stone Throw Second at the Burton Cummings Theatre in Winnipeg, MB on January 31, 2012.

Starting off the night was local Winnipeg band, Stone Throw Second. Opening for Theory of A Deadman may have been one of their many to come big breaks. Stone Throw Second were a band, that you can tell just likes to be on stage and rock their souls out. Giving it all they got, and providing a stage presence that looks like they’ve been on tours for years left their audience with a good taste in their mouths.

At 8:30 Theory of a Deadman hit the stage and lifted the entire Burton Cummings theatre attendees out of their seats. Theory is one of those bands that you have to see live to really appreciate. Lead singer Tyler Connolly gives it all each night as if it was his last.

Theory produces rock hit after hit, and you don’t realize it until you hear all of them in one sitting. Throughout their set it seemed every second song is one of those songs that you hear and love on the radio time after time, which ended having the audience singing along throughout. Making sure to play songs such as ‘All or Nothing’, ‘The Truth Is…’, and ‘Bitch Came Back’ they ended off with their hit off the record Gasoline; ‘Better Off’.

Ending with a standing ovation (not like anyone sat throughout their concert anyways), Tyler and the band came back on to stage with hit ‘Low Life’. Following ‘Low Life’ he gave a speech about how the next song may have been the song that made them who they are today. They broke into ‘Santa Monica’. Following, they covered Eric Clapton’s ‘Cocaine’. Doing one more song before leaving the stage, the crowd cheered at an all time high once again, to bring Theory of A Deadman back for one more song, a second encore. Theory broke into their up tempo hit ‘Bad Girlfriend’ to end the show.

Overall the show ended with not a single person disappointed. Theory of a Deadman has always been, and will maintain the title of one of Canada’s favourite and most proud rock bands and will be welcomed back to Winnipeg with open arms any day!
