Live Nation presents… Trans-Siberian Orchestra at the MTS Centre on April 13, 2012 in Winnipeg, MB.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra brought their show titled, Beethoven’s Last Night, to Winnipeg on this Friday night to a crowd of 3,500. With a six-piece band, an eight-piece string section, and an eight-member backing choir, the stage was as full as it can get during the 2.5 hour non-stop set.

If you have never been to a TSO show before, it’s a show that is like nothing else. The show tells a story like theatre, consists of a string-section like a symphony, and contains the original hard-rocking guitarist, bassist, and drummer, accompanied with vocals to interpret a rock show. Of course, then there is lasers, fire, and overall… just one hell of a visual production.

Now for those unaware, the basis of the show Beethoven’s Last Night is surrounded around the story of the devil coming to rock-opera to take the composers soul. In the show, TSO prepared to have a different vocalist act as each character to sing the story, as well as having a narrator between songs to tell the story.

TSO included Beethoven’s classic, with a hard-rock edge, which include the classics such as ‘Ode to Joy’, ‘Symphony No. 5′, and ‘Symphony No. 9′. For those who haven’t been to a Trans-Siberian show, it’s must-see experience, and although I haven’t been to any others, Beethoven’s Last Night is near perfection.
