The band hit the stage to a thunder of cheers and chants of “death punch, death punch” and the band roared into “Under and Over It” from the new album. Guitarists Zoltan Bathory and Jason Hook fired into the guitar leads and singer Ivan Moody stalked across the stage and threw glares and fists into the air as he gripped the crowd for a fierce start. Jeremy Spencer pounded out the drums and newcomer Chris Kael hammered out the bass lines for a driving rhythm that carried through title track “American Capitalist” and “Menace” from the newest record, and ripped through War is the Answer songs “Hard to See”, “No One Gets Left Behind” and “Bad Company”. After a blistering drum solo 5Finger launched back into a driving “Far from Home” and Burn it Down” before the end of the set. Five Finger returned after more chanting and cheers for a final encore “The Bleeding” from The Way Of the Fist. The band is off to a fiery start to what promises to be a blistering tour, fronting a new album that is epic in cutting a chasm into the hard rock genre.
