Live Nation and Xcel Energy Center presents… Roger Waters The Wall.

Bringing the Pink Floyd album: The Wall back around through the US for the final time, we were lucky enough to get a second show. As soon as the lights went out the, blaze went up, and I swear all of the 13,000 people in the arena lit one up. Most of us know the history and the story… and if you don’t; go get the album and the movie and fall in love with The Wall.

As I was only 10 when it was released, it came across as scary to watch, but the sounds I heard just pulled me in. The Wall is a classic anti-war rock opera. With Roger at the helm, he takes the live performance to another level, with over 400 bricks in the wall being built over 2 sets that last over 2 hours.

The production consisted of huge video screens that enhance The Wall more than you could possibly image. The 3D effects are incredible and the timing of everything is spot on. With Roger and the crew taking us through the whole anti-war epic, everything is there, including the plane, the pig, the bombs , the classics, the band behind the wall, Young Lust, Comfortably Numb and a huge band to recreate one of rocks must classic albums.

At 68, Roger Waters seemed a lot more relaxed and dramatic this time around. Maybe doing 200 plus shows would get you more comfortable each night I guess. A few video changes on this leg, it consisted of more projections of Roger signing on the side, a small acoustic version of Another Brick in the Wall part 2, about a man who was killed in London thought to be a terrorist, and some other small changes that were only for the best this time around.

I could go on and on how great this concert is, but just ask anyone who has seen it or read the reviews. The tour will end in July in Quebec. There are still dates all over the east and south.
