AEG and The Brick presents… Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.

Slash finally came to Minneapolis! After a very long wait for his new solo CD, Apocalyptic Love, we finally got to see one of the best guitar players on the planet. As I am huge GNR fan for years I was very excited to see my first solo Slash show.

With the band right on time we get Mean Bone from Slash’s Snakepit CD, a great song to get things started for the sold out show. Next, he kicked it right into Velvet Revolver’s Dirty Little Thing. Myles seems to be pulling off the cover pretty good. After a little talk to the audience we got Nightrain from one of the best selling debut albums of all time, Slash seemed to be really enjoying himself on this one. He had his top hat on head, and he hit every note and more. Since being sober he had really excelled his playing.

Myles was doing Axl better than Axl can now, now I know why Slash wants to work with this guy. The Conspirators are a great band. They kept everything tight even while jumping all over the place and pumping up the crowd.

During the set, Rocket Queen ended up being a ten minute epic! After the first main half, the band ended up jamming for 5 minutes before the end. It was surreal, the band could not have done a better job. They rocked the house and everyone got what they came for, Slash, some Velvet Revolver, and some GNR!
