Chickenfoot, Different Devil Tour 2012, at The Joint, Hard Rock Hotel Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, June 1, 2012

Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony and Kenny Aronoff, took the stage at the Joint and showed us the perfect example of seasoned veterans who have not lost enthusiasm for their music. I spent the time before the show at the stage meeting their fans who had traveled from near and far for this show and their enthusiasm for this band was infectious. This was a rare show at The Joint with no barricade, and while it made it difficult to change vantage points and photograph the show, it was a lot of fun to be mixed in with the crowd who was so excited. The guys were obviously having a blast onstage and that translated to the fans. Chickenfoot was hosting a giant rock and roll party.

Earlier in the evening the Hard Rock honored the band by unveiling a new Chickenfoot memorabilia display for the casino’s collection.

Sammy Hagar will be back at The Joint on August 26, 2012, when he will be honored at the Vegas Rocks! Magazine Awards along with Michael Schenker, David Coverdale, Geoff Tate and the best of the Las Vegas music scene. Special guest presenter will be Eddie Trunk of That Metal Show. Tickets for the event are on sale now through Ticketmaster and at the Hard Rock box office.
