90s music has come back with a bang, and then some. On Friday June 29, Everclear (frontman Art Alexakis with Davey French on guitar, Freddy Herrera on bass, Sean Winchester on drums, and Josh Crawley on keys) lead the way of the Summerland Tour. The tour also features Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, Lit, and Marcy Playground. It was a beautiful night at the sold-out Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. For nostalgic fun, the lineup couldn’t have been better than this. The crowd was on their feet and singing along for much of the evening.
The band opened with So Much For the Afterglow, and blazed through a set full of hits spanning the multi-platinum rock band’s career. The 11-song set included Everything to Everyone, Father of Mine, I Will Buy You a New Life, A.M. Radio, Wonderful, Be Careful What You Ask For from their latest “Invisible Stars”, and Santa Monica to close off the night.
