Live Nation presents… Kelly Clarkson with The Fray and special gust Carolina Liar at Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, Canada on August 28, 2012.

It’s a near 10 years since Kelly Clarkson had the biggest break of her life, winning American Idol. It’s hard to believe that September 4, 2002 was that long ago, but here we are, 10 years later, witnessing Kelly performing a set list jam packed with many of her chart topping hits.

As Kelly hit the stage at TIME, her intro led into ‘My Life Would Suck Without You’, she followed with ‘Hazel Eyes’. Kelly, who’s wearing black jeans and a black Ozzy tank, has one of the most beautiful and fulfilling live voices in the pop industry. With a constant smile on her face, its so enjoyable to see her enjoying what she’s doing so much.

Kelly continued on with ‘I Forgive You’, ‘Darkside’, and ‘You Love Me’ before going into the crowd for a few songs. Kelly took a large, 15 minute lap through the crowd, and covered FUN.’s ‘We Are Young’. Still in the crowd, she went into ‘Already Gone’ and began making her way back to the stage. Meeting her at the stage was The Fray singer Isaac Slade to sing wither her, ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’. Each night Kelly plays a different song, that her and her band learn that day, that is requested by a fan. Tonight’s was Canadian legend Michael Bublé’s ‘Home’. Kelly told a story about how she was in the studio when recording that song so she was thrilled that it was request. Her and her band played it after Isaac left the stage.

Up next was ‘Breakaway’, which was followed by ‘Since You Been Gone’, where a curtain in the back lifted up and revealed a screen the size of the entire back stage wall. This was Kelly’s last song before leaving the stage, finishing her set.

Of course getting hailed back up for an encore, Kelly greeted fans again in a long black dress going into ‘Because Of You’. During her encore the screen showed numerous newspaper clippings of tabloids with headlines questioning Kelly’s weight, sexuality, and questions such as “Is Kelly Clarkson the Girl Next Door”. It was amazing to see how Kelly manages to virtually laugh it off and bring it into her performance, inspiring all who were there. Kelly’s encore finished off with ‘Mr. Know It All’, ‘Miss. Independent’, and finally her current single ‘Stronger’.

Kelly’s show blew my mind, and definitely exceeded expectations. I hope to see her again soon!
