The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas presents Jane’s Addiction on September 7, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jane’s Addiction at the beautiful rooftop, poolside venue at The Cosmopolitan was a perfect combination. They took the stage to Underground and while the crowd was going wild I noted to myself that not only do they sound in top form but they also look better than they did 20 years ago. The crowd was full of original Jane’s Addiction fans but was also well represented with a younger generation of fan. The second song of the night, Mountain, became a hit in 1988, before many of the fans in the audience were born. It seems unbelievable that 24 years has transpired since I first heard this song. Even though many of these songs are like old friends, the set felt fresh and current. Jane’s Addiction seems to have discovered the fountain of both musical and physical youth.
