Live Nation presents… Jason Mraz with special guest Christina Perri at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, Canada on Sunday, September 9, 2012.
Starting off the chilly summer evening was the beautiful Christina Perri, who is currently on the cross North American tour with Jason Mraz. Christina played a 45 minutes set which she ended off with her favourable ‘Jar of Hearts’ followed by ‘Arms’.Up next was headliner Jason Mraz. Hailing from Virginia, Mraz started his near 2-hour set with his track ‘You and I Both’ before making it into my personal favourite ‘The Remedy’. Jason continued with ‘Make It Mine’, ‘Live High’, and ‘Only Human’, before continuing with a crowd favourite being ‘Lucky’. His band consisted of a large horned section, multiple guitars, 2 sets of kit drums, accordians, violins, a stand up bass, and an electric bass. Jason was also joined by female vocalist Nikki Yanofsky throughout his set.
Jason’s set later continued with his #1 chart topper ‘I’m Yours’, followed by ‘Butterfly’, and finally ending off with a cover of Stevie Wonder’s ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’. Of course getting cheered back on for more, Jason’s encore consisted of ‘All Dialed In’, before being joined by opener Christina Perrie for a track. Ending off the night overall was Jason’s current heart warming chart topper ‘I Won’t Give Up’. Jason had a soulful show, shared by a wide demographic of an audience.
