Lit at the House of Blues in Anaheim.

Lit is back at it again! 8 years from their last album, and after a series of setbacks that hit close to home (among them was losing original drummer Allen Shellenberger to cancer), the band has dug deep and released “The View From The Bottom”, toured over the summer with Everclear, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, and Marcy Playground (Summerland Tour), and is currently on the road with Buckcherry. The album has for the most part, been well-received by old and new fans. It is a solid rock album, heavy with a side of optimism, and a fitting tribute to Shellenberger. As they say, “It’s all about right here and right now.”.

On Wednesday, Lit played to a packed House of Blues in Anaheim. It was a great night and a happy birthday to lead singer A. Jay Popoff as Lit (also guitarist Jeremy Popoff, bassist Kevin Baldes, and drummer Nathan Walker) kicked off the tour before an enthusiastic hometown crowd. Opening up with “You Tonight”, the night’s set also included “C’mon”, “The Broken”, and “She Don’t Know” from the new album, as well as selections from previous releases “Lipstick & Bruises”, “Miserable”, and “Zip-lock”, closing with the always fun “My Own Worst Enemy”.

Cheers to good times (and more to come)!
