Goldenvoice presents… Social Distortion with guests Lindi Ortega at the Sound Acamemy October 20, 2012 in Toronto, Canada.

Playing to a very packed Sound Academy on a Saturday night in Toronto, it seemed evident that it was the place to be at for old-school punk fans throughout the city.

Opening up was Lindi Ortega. Calling Toronto home, Lindi attracted quite a crowd as she plays her mix between rock and country. Matching her outfit with a country girl style, Lindi rocked with her acoustic guitar, making guys holler throughout.

Headlining California punk band, Social Distortion band were up next, and were hear to rock. Starting with ‘All I Can Do Is Cry’, the band lead by Mike Ness lead into ‘Far Behind’. The band mixed their set with old and new, as fans enjoyed every minute of it. With a waterfall apperance of crowd surfers surfing over the barriers, the security literally had their hands full.

The band included past hits including ‘Ball and Chain’ and ‘Bad Luck’ however did not perform my personal favourite, ‘Story Of My Life’… Why not? I’m not to sure. Ending off the evening with their infamous cover of ‘Ring of Fire’ the crowd screamed and cheared as Social D left the stage.
