Blood On The Dance Floor John Delaney October 26, 2012 USA Blood On The Dance Floor with guest Jeffree Star and Davey Suicide on the ‘The Scene Is Dead’ tour at The Opera House in Toronto, Canada on October 23, 2012. On tour with Blood On The Dance Floor across the continent, including their one stop in Toronto, was Jeffree Star who warmed up the crowd for the evening. Jeffree may not be the best singer in the scene, but is easily the sassiest. This guy is as flamboyant as it gets and the crowd loves every minute of it. Putting on an entertaining show, Jeffree played for 45 minutes which was followed by a meet and greet later in the evening at the merch table. Headlining the evening was Blood On The Dance Floor (BOTDF). A mix between genre’s, which it is awfully difficult to place them in one. as they embed heavy rock, hardcore, electronic, and alternative rock throughout their tracks. Taking their live sets to a while new level, BOTDF were set to play a 90 minute as set the band entered with foam, fake blood, and lasers. The live band is a 6-piece which consisted of 2 lead singers, a guitarist, a bassist, a violinist, and finally a drummer, who all had wicked hair cuts with colour throughout. The band interacted with the crowd by encouraging them to sing along, as well as reaching down and singing directly to them. Showing lots of skin, some parents gasped, but others just laughed it off. As the audience consisted of teens from throughout the GTA, BOTDF’s performance may be best geared towards an older set of fans, but regardless was all meant in good nature, and left the dedicated fans with smiles from ear to ear.
