Embrace Presents… The Script with special guest Tristan Prettyman at the Sony Centre in Toronto, Canada on November 6, 2012.

Out of the hundreds of shows I have been to and covered, this tops the list as the best show I have ever been to. In the relatively intimate venue, The Sony Centre, the acoustics are superb and there is not really a bad seat in the house.

Opening up the evening, American recording artist, Tristan Prettyman. Having just released her new album the month prior, Prettyman’s set consisted of tracks off the record, Cedar + Gold. Notable tracks of the set were her singles ‘My Oh My’, and ‘I Was Gonna Marry You’, and her song of comic relief, ‘The Rebound’.

Up next, none other than The Script. This trio puts on as personal set as one can get, and left every fan in their glory throughout. Starting with Gold Ol’ Days, We Cry, and their current hit single Hall Of Fame, the show was off to a good start. Lead singer Danny O’Donoghue made his way through the crowd running through the aisles multiple times throughout. Danny was accompanied on stage my Mark Sheehan, and Glen Power who brought the music to life.

The set consisted of songs new and old, of all three of the bands albums. Just the day prior, the band released the video for Six Degrees of Separation, which prepared major hype for the song nearing the end. And finishing up the night for a two song encore, the trip played their breakthrough song, Breakeven, and my overall favourite, For The First Time.

As I’ve stated multiple times throughout, and I can’t quite get the point across enough, The Script put on the best live show I’ve seen to date, and if by chance the trio come to your city, do not miss them.
