The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and The Joint present Guns N Roses.

Guns N Roses have staged a stay at Las Vegas’ The Joint located at The Hard Rock Casino and Hotel called Appittite For Democracy. Playing 12 Dates in 30 days is not an easy task but leave it to one of the best to do that.

Opening the show is Las Vegas’ own Lost Vegas. With a Rolling Stones, LA sort of vibe they rocked the stage for an hour. They hit it up with tunes that sounded right out of the era of classic Rock N Roll.

It was at 11:45 that Guns N Roses promptly hit the stage and ripped it open with Chinese Democracy. The stage was designed for the Joint and has two huge walk ways that hang out above the crowd on each side. Vegas is always a place where you never know what is going to happen And starting with Welcome To The Jungle, the album just kept coming with It’s So Easy and Mr. Brownstone. I have not heard Axl sound this good in years, and as we all know that age takes a toll on your voice, his vocal coach must be making sure he stays on.

Estranged was next off of Use Your Illusion 2 and it was more of a in look into Axl himself. Rocket Queen was one of the nights highlights with Las Vegas’ own adult entertainers on stage! Live and Let Die has always been huge production and did not let the crowd down.

Making sure the sounds sounded how they were meant to be heard; Dj Ashba, Richard Fortus and Bumblefoot are all on guitar. The energy that GnR creates is amazing. In between each song the band jams and just plays some great classic songs. It gives a quick rest for Axl who sings his ass off every time they play.

You Could be Mine had the front in a frenzy with Axl laughing and pinting at several of us. Dj Ashba had a small solo and at the end played one of the best riffs in the history of rock n roll when he started Sweet Child O Mine.

After covering Another Brick in the Wall Part 2, Axl got on a levitating piano and started to play November Rain. Bumblefoot had lead vocal on Glad To Be Here and Don’t Cry was half acoustic, and half full band. The end of the regular set was Knocking on Heaven’s Door and Night Train.

The encore consisted of Madagascar, Use To Love Her, There Was A Time, Patience and all time favorite Paradise City. Guns N Roses always come out for a bow and this night Axl even told everyone this was one fun show, and I’m sure the crowd felt the same way!
