Musink Festival taking place between March 8, and March 10, 2013.

Bad Religion

A great weekend of music and art appreciation it was. Between Friday, March 8 and Sunday, March 10, the 6th annual Musink tattoo convention and music festival was rolling with an abundance of talent among the show’s featured tattoo artists, not to mention the bands that rocked the stage. Especially for a pain taker-err tattoo enthusiast, it was quite difficult to set foot onto the tattoo room floor and not be tempted to have fresh ink done by the end of the day. In the next building just steps away, Musink organizers had put together a great mix of rock, punk/rock, bluegrass, and some rockabilly over the course of the weekend. The band lineup for Friday was as follows: local band Assuming We Survive, Guttermouth, The Vandals, and Bad Religion. Saturday night hosted COR, T.S.O.L., Lagwagon, and then Pennywise headlining (with original members Randy, Byron, Jim, and Fletcher). Vinnie & The Hooligans, Jonny Two Bags and Salvation Town, Lucero, and Reverend Horton Heat closed out the show on Sunday. While The Headcat (featuring Lemmy from Motorhead) were slated as part of Sunday’s lineup, the band had to unfortunately cancel their performance due to illness.
