Vinyl at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas presents Wednesday 13.

The Hard Rock Hotel’s newest rock club hosted the king of horror pun Wednesday 13 for a short leg of theCurse of The Living Tour in the US before the band headed to the UK. The tour is promoting the newest CD from the band The Dixie Dead, and Wednesday 13 plowed right into “Blood Sucker” from the release to start off a set for a rowdy goth filled Vegas crowd. This time around the band featured Jack Tankersley and Roman Surman on guitar, Jason West on drums (all three prior Murderdolls with Wednesday) and new kid on the Wednesday family block Troy Doebbler on bass, for a shock and rock troupe ready to rip their way through the night for the Vegas fans.

The band tore through several songs from the new cd including “Get Your Grave On”, “Curse of the Living” and “Too Fast for Blood”, and fans sang along as the band nailed some Wednesday standards like “House by the Cemetery”, “Till Death Do Us Party”, “I Walked with a Zombie” and “Rambo” (a Frankenstein Drag Queens redux). It was a no nonsense set, no props, no guns, no shovels, and Wednesday with no guitar (Wednesday also did not play guitar on this release, a first), but this gave the vocalist room to play the frontman complete and unhindered. Wednesday’s full on horror tongue-in-cheek attack ended with an encore of “Scream Baby Scream” and the even bigger scream along anthems “I love to Say F#*k” and “Bad Things”.
