Street Drum Corps presents their “LOST VEGAS” Residency at Vinyl in the Hard Rock Hotel Casino, June 15, 2013, Las Vegas, Nevada

Street Drum Corps "Lost Vegas" Residency by Karen Mandall

Street Drum Corps started its “Lost Vegas” residency with a high-energy night of entertainment at Vinyl inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Saturday, June 15. The group played for a packed house and was joined on stage by guest drummer José Pasillas of Incubus and guest guitarist Deryck Whibley of Sum 41. The crowd went wild as the rockers hit the stage and joined the band for their signature beat-heavy songs.

This was my first time experiencing a Street Drum Corps show and I was impressed with their musicianship, enthusiasm and showmanship. This residency will prove to be wildly popular, the show fits perfectly with the energy of the Hard Rock Hotel Casino, and the venue, Vinyl, is perfect for bringing the audience to the core of the show, close to the performers.

Street Drum Corps has played at festivals, theme parks, sporting events, fairs and more and has been featured on MTV, VH1, “American Idol” and many other major television shows and networks. The band has grown to be popular world-wide and was named “2012 Drum Ensemble of the Year” by Drum Magazine.

Las Vegas’ own BlackBox13 opened the night to an enthusiastic crowd, many of whom are loyal fans who were singing the lyrics and screaming out for their song “Senseless” which has been a fan favorite since the release of their video for the song in May, 2012.

Upcoming Street Drum Corps Dates: July 27, Aug. 24, Sept. 28, Oct. 19 and Nov. 16
