Vinyl Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Hotel presents Lita Ford and special guests London. Lita Ford played a packed house at Vinyl Las Vegas, the first time she’s played Vegas in quite some time and the fans poured in to see her crank out some Classic Lita hits, Runaways nods, and a few surprises. Lita took the stage, fist punching the air and slammed into a “Wake up Call” intro, then lead right into “The Bitch is Back” to get the crowd really pumped up. Lita looked fantastic in black leather and boots, sounded as good as ever, and shredded her way through songs from her catalogue of solo work, from the early “Out for Blood” to last year’s newest release “Living Like a “Runaway”. Her touring band was a heady mix of talent with guitarist Mitch Perry (Heaven, Steeler, Billy Sheehan), bassist Marty O’Brien (Disturbed, Static X, Tommy Lee) and for this show drummer Bobby Rock (Vinnie Vincent Invasion), and the band was just as front forward as Lita with each having their own stand away styles and gripping skills. Hot moment when Lita brought back the Runaway’s classic “Cherry Bomb” with the fans shouting along, and Sex Pistols’ “Black Leather”, written by Sex Pistols Steve Jones and Paul Cook. The set ended with a mini encore with Lita’s biggest hit “Kiss Me Deadly”. London has had many line up changes over the decades and are noted for having Nikki Sixx and In the band early on.
