Red Dragon Cartel at Heineken NAMM JAM 2014

Jackson/Charvel Guitars and Monster Energy presents Red Dragon Cartel at Heineken NAMM JAM 2014 at the Grove in Anaheim.

Jake E Lee and his new Cartel headlined the 2014 NAMM JAM, showing how far the band have come as a showstopping presence just a couple months after hitting the road with the first live dates for the newly formed group. Beside guitar virtuoso Jake E Lee, Red Dragon Cartel includes vocalist Darren James Smith, Ray Mancuso on bass and Jonas Fairley on drums, and the show was a lead into the release of the new cd later in the week on January 28th.

RDC had a great night headlining NAMM JAM, with Smith controlled and confident, and Jake looking more comfortable and energized on stage as they wove through Badlands and Ozzy tunes along with a sampling of new material from the new cd. The Grove stage was most likely the biggest venue yet for the new project, and RDC handled the big stage and throng of fans with a powerful punch of the old and new, with sizzling solos and powerhouse vocals as they infused some classic Ozzy with “Rock and Roll Rebel”, “Bark at the Moon” in the set, along with Badlands “In a Dream” and “Rumblin’ Train”, and from the new cd “War Machine” and “Shout it Out”.

The band is continuing to tour throughout the US and into Canada, and have a UK tour on schedule for June. The (approx) US dates are as follows:
