Saturday night, September 20, 2014, Thirty Seconds to Mars brought their U.S. tour to a close before a sold-out crowd at Boulevard Pool at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. Thirty Seconds to Mars’ frontman Jared Leto, charged onto the Mophie stage waving a white flag, wearing a crown, colorful leggings and a flowing tie dyed scarf fashioned into a cape-like top. He looked like a Rock & Roll Super Hero and was received as same by the sold out crowd. He wasted no time and went straight into a performing a string of the band’s hits including “Do Or Die,” “This Is War” and “Closer To The Edge.” Midway through the energetic set, Leto stopped the show to make sure all three members of the trio had a moment on the 65-foot digital marquee that overlooks the Las Vegas Strip. The Academy Award winning actor then moved into the audience, continuing with “Kings And Queens.” Leto also treated the adoring crowd to an acoustic set, playing fan-favorites “ATTACK” and “Hurricane.” Since the band’s start in 1998, Thirty Seconds to Mars has sold over five million albums worldwide and won the Guinness World Record for “Longest Concert Tour By A Rock Band.” The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas features artists at the forefront of the touring world and emerging artists that will inspire the next musical movements coupled with spectacularly-designed, technology-driven venues.
